Only Fools and Horses
Only Fools and Horses is a BAFTA Winning British television sitcom, created and written by John Sullivan, and made and broadcast by the BBC. Seven series were originally broadcast on BBC One in the United Kingdom between 1981 and 1991, with sporadic Christmas specials until 2003. Episodes are regularly repeated on GOLD.
Set in Peckham in south London, it stars David Jason as ambitious market trader Derek "Del Boy" Trotter, Nicholas Lyndhurst as his younger brother Rodney, and Lennard Pearce as their ageing grandfather (later replaced by Buster Merryfield as their Uncle Albert). Backed by a strong supporting cast, the series chronicles their highs and lows in life, in particular their attempts to get rich.
After a relatively slow start the show went on to achieve consistently high ratings, and the 1996 episode "Time On Our Hands" holds the record for the highest UK audience for a sitcom episode, attracting 24.3 million viewers (over a third of the population).
Critically and popularly acclaimed, the series received numerous awards, including recognition from BAFTA, the National Television Awards and the Royal Television Society, as well as winning individual accolades for both Sullivan and Jason. It was voted Britain's Best Sitcom in a 2004 BBC poll.
It also had an impact on British culture, contributing several words and phrases to the English language and boosting the popularity of the Reliant Regal van. It spawned an extensive range of merchandise, including books, DVDs, toys and board games. For a comprehensive list of Only Fools and Horses-related merchandise, see A spin-off series, The Green Green Grass, has run for four series in the UK. Only Fools and Horses - Classic BBC Sitom

The antics of Del Boy, Rodney and the supporting cast of characters made a nation laugh uproariously , and occasionally cry, over the two decades. Del Boy's phrases have crept into every day speech, one of them even earning a place in the dictionary (Lovely Jubbly).
Over 60 episodes were produced, all of a consistently high quality, scattered liberally with some of the funniest TV comedy moments. I've picked my favorite scenes, and given my reasons for picking them.

Moment 1. Batman and Robin
From "Heroes and Villains"
One of the funniest, from the first of the trilogy "Heroes and Villains", is the "Batman and Robin" moment. Del Boy and Rodney break down in their van on the way to a party, dressed as Batman and Robin. Stuck between their destination and Nelson Mandela House, they decide to run the rest of the way, seeing it as the lesser of two evils. On their way, they inadvertently have the chance to fight crime. See the below clip for the full story!
This episode also contains one of my favorite lines. Rodney has left Cassandra's specimen for the hospital on the kitchen counter. When he says it should have been kept somewhere "dark, where it won't be disturbed" and Marlene says "How about Boycie's pants?"
It gets even better when Boycie starts laughing before he realizes the joke's on him!
Moment 2. The Poker Game
From "A Losing Streak"
Another notable mention from earlier in the episode is Del betting £20 that the beefy, bearded builder he sees walking into the pub will buy a pint, only to watch open mouthed as he asks for a "Dry martini with a slimline tonic".
Moment 3. Return to the Nag's Head
From "Time on Our Hands"
There are a few poignant scenes in this episode, such as Del and Rodney's heart to heart in the broken down lift and the "Our House" montage.
The one moment which always makes me want to blub though, is the return to the Nag's Head.
Del, Rodney, Raquel and Cassandra enter the pub to silence, then a standing ovation from all the regulars.
Moment 4. The Bar Fall
From "Yuppie Love"
Moment 5. Cwying
From "Stage Fright"
Moment 6. Uncle Albert
From "Rodney Come Home"
Moment 7. Trigger and Dave
From "Homesick"
I've picked this scene from Series 3, where Rodney actually confronts Trigger to ask him why. As you might guess, despite his patient explaining, it makes no difference!
